Rosemary McCoy DeBrabant, 91, of Midland, GA died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy DeBrabant officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. DeBrabant was born October 23, 1921 in Lee County, AL daughter of the late Millard F. and Rose Lloyd McCoy. She was a homemaker and a member of Morningside Baptist Church.
Our little feisty mother lived her life for her family. We always knew she had our backs. She loved the Lord and family and dedicated her life to keeping up with all her friends and children.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Louis DeBrabant, son, Ken Harris, brothers, Pete McCoy and Charles McCoy, and granddaughter, Tara Catrina Lovett.
Survivors include her two sons, Gearry Louis DeBrabant of Columbus, GA and Edward A. "Buddy" DeBrabant (Carmen) of Upatoi, GA, three daughters, Susan R. Gray (Ladd) of Mansfield, GA, Anita Chastain (Johnny) of Jasper, GA and Patricia A. Laird of Marietta, GA, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
