Columbus, GA - Rose Dianne Hanks, 60, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Columbus Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011, at St Mark United Methodist Church in Columbus, Georgia with Reverend Scott Tucker officiating. A private interment will be held at Park Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday June 24, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Hanks was born November 4, 1950 in Ft. Benning, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Walter Harrison Wildridge and the late Katherine Calhoun McWhorter. She graduated in 1968 from Jordan Vocational High School. She was a member of St Mark United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees. She also supported and volunteered for various organizations, her favorite being the Open Door Community House. Her career spanned 44 years in Medical Records/Health Information Management at Columbus Regional. She loved spending time with her family and friends, church family and her dearly beloved Sister Chicks.
