Rosa Mae Williams, 86, of Lakewood Senior Living, Smiths Station, AL went to Heaven on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dean Arque and Rev. Rodney Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M and Thursday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.

Mae, as she was known to most family and friends was born May 13, 1925 in Phenix City, AL daughter of the late Dallas Ivan Dease and Rosetta Lee Williams Dease Singleton.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She was known for her kindness and gentle, sweet nature. In her early years, she worked as a hairdresser, but that soon gave way to being a full time housewife and mother. Mae had many interest and hobbies. She loved to work crossword puzzles, and up until recently, worked the daily crossword puzzle in the Columbus Ledger Enquirer. She loved music, especially hymns and country music. She had a very good singing voice and played the guitar and the auto harp. She loved to read and was also a very good writer and wrote many songs and poems. She had the gift of a â
