Rosa Elizabeth Thompson, 87, of Columbus, GA died Friday, November 13, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Glenn H. Money, Pastor Thomas Pope and Reverend Udell Addison officiating. A private family interment will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Thompson was born April 6, 1928 to the late William and Claudia Money in Columbus, GA. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Moving Forward Sunday School class.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Charlie Royce Thompson, and brother, Reverend Howard Money.
Survivors include her son, Rick Thompson (Leigh Anne) of Cataula, GA, grandson, Justin Thompson (Stephanie) of Severn, MD, great granddaughter, Rowan Elise Thompson of Severn, MD, sister, Gloria Hughes of Dothan, AL, sister-in-law, Deiva Money, and several nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Columbus Hospice or Central Baptist Church.
