Rosa Mae Covington

Rosa Mae Covington, 97, of Phenix City, Al. died Wednesday, December 12, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 14, 2018 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Bill Purvis officiating. A private entombment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Covington was born November 14, 1921 in McRae, Georgia daughter of the late William Thomas and Ina Jane Scarborough Underwood. She retired from Tom's Foods after 32 years of service and was a member of Cascade Hills Church. She loved God, her church family, baking and serving others. She loved her family dearly and they meant everything to her.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Covington was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Dewey Covington, brothers, John K. Underwood, Preston Underwood, sister, Mamie Lee Havron and a special son-in-law, Harry A. "Scotty" Scott, Jr.
Survivors include three daughters, Willene Keeter (Wilburn), Jo Mobley (Milton) and Sheryl Scott all of Phenix City, Al. grandchildren, Kathy (Randy), Diane (Charles), Rene (Larry), Tammy (Scott), Shawn (Rachael), Chuck and Amanda. 22 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
