Ronald Norman Clemmons, 75 of Hamilton, GA who thoroughly enjoyed his long life, passed Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M., Friday, February 1, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Weber officiating. A private interment will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA.
Mr. Clemmons was born October 25, 1937 in Columbus, GA son of the late Norman E. Clemmons and Laney Williams Mobley. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran. He was a TV Producer for the Army at Ft. Benning, GA. He worked as an instrumentation engineer at the Nevada Test Site Center, testing the first atomic engines for the space program. Ron was a larger than life person who enjoyed life and was a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation. He loved nature, fishing and grilling and making others laugh. He did not march to a different drummer, he was his own drummer.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Divinyi Clemmons of Hamilton, GA; daughter, Barbara Pipes of Salado, TX; son, Paul Clemmons, Danville, CA; six grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; step daughters, Bridy Divinyi McBee of Sacramento, CA and Erin Divinyi of Columbus, GA; brother, Warren Clemmons (Pam) of Birmingham, AL; cousins, Camille Roberson (Jimmy) of Columbus, GA,Wayne Harris of Nashville, TN, Kemis Williams of California and Barbara Henn of Miami, FL.
