Major U.S. Army (Ret.) Roland LeRoy Foxworth, 82, of Midland, GA died Monday, November 30, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services with full military honors will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 5, 2009 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Father Scott Winchel officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 4, 2009 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Foxworth was born September 17, 1927 in Panama City, FL. He was a Major in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Foxworth.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Foxworth of Midland, GA, sons, Barry G. Foxworth (Lyn) of Columbus, OH and Craig Foxworth (Sylvia) of Midland, GA, and six grandchildren, Brandon Foxworth of Columbus, GA, Christopher and Timothy Foxworth of Florida, Trey and Troy Wright of Phenix City, AL, and Jennifer Jimenez of Ohio.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association 120 Wall St. New York, NY 10005.
