Robert “Bobby” Clyde Mcbride Jr.

Robert “Bobby” Clyde McBride Jr., 89 of Columbus Georgia, passed away January 30, 2023 at Piedmont Northside.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home located at 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

Bobby was born April 30, 1933 in Columbus, GA to the late Robert Clyde McBride and Ivey Bussey McBride. Upon graduation from high school, Bobby served in the United States Army, where he achieved the rank of Corporal. Bobby was in construction for over 50 years. During this time he owned and operated McBride Building and Remodeling. In addition to fishing, Bobby spent many afternoons enjoying NASCAR races and attending gospel concerts. He was a member of the Fort Benning Masonic Lodge #579, and the Alcazar Shrine Temple in Montgomery, AL.

Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Sue McBride; brothers Ralph McBride, William Stanford McBride, Ellis Eugene McBride; sisters Marie Hand, Elizabeth Mulkey, and Mary Ann Rasberry.

He is survived by his daughter, Alicia French (Jerry) of Fortson, GA; son, Robert Gregory McBride (Tami); Sister Linda Nicholson (Nick) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren Robert Brantley French (Jessica) of Columbus, GA, Ashley French of Fayetteville, AR, Robert Dale McBride, Jonathan McBride, Wesley McBride; and many nieces and nephews.
