Robert “Bob” Franklin Yarbrough, 68, of Cusseta, GA died Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at his residence surrounded in love by his family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 17, 2023 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Speer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church, 959 54th St, Columbus, GA 31904. Interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Bob was born February 25, 1954 in Columbus, GA to the late Jerry Clark Yarbrough and Bashie Irene Yarbrough. He taught at Shaw High School in Columbus, GA. Bob devoted his life to guiding young people, through his work and through his service to the youth group at Northside Baptist Church, among various other things. He was a car nut, and could build anything.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kathy Greer Yarbrough of Cusseta, GA, daughter, Peyton Yarbrough Harper, loving son-in-law, Jimbo Harper, grandchildren, Riley, Hudson and Hampton, all of Hamilton, GA, three brothers, Chuck (Rhonda), Terry, Mike (Sandy), sister, Beth Garcia (Paul) numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Youth Program at Northside Baptist Church at 959 54th St, Columbus, GA 31904.
