Robert P. "Bob" Bollinger, passed away at his home on September 17, 2022.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 23, 2022 at Parkhill Cemetery with pastor Don Wilhite officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
He was born on May 19, 1933 in Washington, DC to the late Major Charles and Annabel Bollinger . Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Bollinger.
Survivors include his son and his wife, Bobby and Robbie Bollinger, grandsons, Bryan Bollinger and his wife Alini Bollinger, Garrett Bollinger and his wife Tamara Bollinger, his great grandson, Antony Bollinger and great granddaughter, Eve Bollinger, his wife Donna Bollinger and stepson Christian Craven
He was a veteran of the US Army and following active duty, transitioned to the Civil Service and retired at Ft Benning, Ga.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Columbus, Ga joining in 1958. He served as Deacon, Sunday school teacher, VBS director, youth leader, church staff and served on numerous committees.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Second Baptist Church in memory of Bob Bollinger.
