Robert "Bob" Curtis Propst, Sr., 58, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 22, 2010 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Thomas and Mr. Lane Jimmerson officiating. Private entombment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Propst was born January 5, 1952 in Columbus, GA son of Mary Francis Benefield Propst of Smiths, AL and the late Robert Leroy Propst. He was a graduate of Central High School in Phenix City, AL. He was a member of the 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Midland Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Homebuilder's Association. He was Baptist by faith.
Other than his mother, survivors include his wife, Diane Colwell Propst of Columbus, GA, daughter, Kelli Colwell of Columbus, GA, three sons, Robert Curtis Propst, Jr. (Joy), Daniel Kary Propst, and Curtis Colwell Propst all of Columbus, GA, sister, Polly Propst Bell of Smiths Station, AL, brothers, Ben Propst (Jan) of Smiths Station, AL, Jeff Propst (Tracy) of Columbus, GA and Joe Propst of Chicago, IL, and seven grandchildren, Maddie Propst, Emmi Propst, Olive Propst, Daniel Propst, Jr., Curtis Propst, Emma Davis and Greneleigh Price.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Scottish Rite Children's Foundation.
