Robert "Bob" Pridgen, 82, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Bob was born April 9, 1936 in High Springs, FL son of the late J.M. Pridgen and Thelma Grant Pridgen. He was a UGA graduate and worked as an accountant for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He loved his grandchildren and the Georgia Bulldogs.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J.M. Pridgen, Jr.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Helen Pridgen, daughters, Karen Montgomery (Ray) and Susan Pratt (Scott), son, Neal Pridgen (Nancy), 8 grandchildren, Mallory and Madison Montgomery, Carson, Cece, Corban and Cadie Pridgen and Austin and Amber Pratt.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Glory Hospice 114 Enterprise Ct. Columbus, GA 31904.
