Robert Charles Loughman, Jr., 71, of Fortson, GA, died Monday, March 18, 2019, at Columbus Hospice. A memorial service will be held at a later date, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Robert was born April 17, 1947 in Long Island, NY, son of the late Robert Charles Loughman, Sr. and Corrine Fanning Loughman. After retiring from the Columbus Fire Department as a Captain, Mr. Loughman went to work in the security department of Columbus Tech. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved to tell jokes.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jane Buza Loughman; sons, Jason Loughman(Janice) of Hamilton, GA, Justin Loughman(Jessica) of Fortson, GA; grandchildren, Nathan Loughman of Hamilton, GA, Stephen Loughman of Hamilton, GA, Raven Loughman of Fortson, GA; three brothers, and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Columbus Hospice, 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
