Robert William James, 92, of Columbus, GA died Friday, July 6, 2018 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene 7777 Whitesville Road Columbus, GA 31904 with Rev. Gary Tankersley officiating. Interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. James was born November 22, 1925 in Oroville, CA son of the late Frank James and Ella Augusta Crumb Collins. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict and was a member of Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene. Mr. James was very involved in all levels of his church and loved traveling, fishing and spending time with his family.
Other than his parents, Mr. James was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Morris James.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Janis James; son, Robert William James, Jr. and his wife, Junice of Phoenix, MD, sister, Betty Crowder and her husband, Rich of Loomis, CA, daughter-in-law, Debra James of Pinson, AL, grandchildren, Kimberly James, Angela James Wood (Shawn) and Michael James (Christie), great grandchildren, Aria Wood, Marley James, Fischer James, Gracie James, Elouise James, Sara James, Parson James and Ford James.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Pointe Church of the Nazarene 7777 Whitesville Road Columbus, Ga. 31904 in memory of Robert William James.
