Robert James Humiston, 75, of Columbus, GA died Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home.
A Celebration of Life service with full military honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Humiston was born August 30, 1943 in Chateaugay, NY son of the late Elmer and Arlene Francis Humiston. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant and also retired from the Columbus Government Center and the City of Columbus, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Elke Hofmann Humiston of Columbus, GA, daughters, Manuela "Alla" Menendez (Terry Williams) of Midland, GA, Brenda and Johnny Guess of Salem, AL and Arlene Sparrowk (Larry Meyer) of Illinois, son, Robert Jacob Humiston of Crawford, AL, 3 grandsons, Michael Jasper, Chris Jasper and Joshua Humiston (Nichole) and Rachel and 2 granddaughters, Michaela Humiston and Rachel Sparrowk and 5 great-grandchildren, Landon, Cole, Hunter, Harley and Colton.
