Robert Ford Heath, 86, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Lacy and Rev. Robert French officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907
Mr. Heath was born April 28, 1930 son of the late John Albert Heath and Lucille Frances Walden Heath. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He also retired after 31 years from the City of Columbus as a Sergeant in the Traffic Division with the Columbus Police Department. Mr. Heath was also a member of North Highland Assembly of God.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Malinda Bernice Lolley Heath and brothers, Kelley Heath, Roscoe Heath and Albert Heath.
Survivors include his sons, Dan S. Hollis, M.D. of Columbus, GA, Russell M. Heath (Donna) of Cataula, GA and Patrick Heath (Angi) of Columbus, GA, brother, Billy Cobb of Columbus, GA, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
