Robert Jefferson Griffin, 72, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at his residence in Columbus, GA.
A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 17, 2020 at Riverdale Cemetery with Pastor Judy Hay officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A brief visitation will be held after the services at the cemetery. In keeping with the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 social distancing will be in effect.
Robert was born May 11, 1948 in Columbus, GA to the late Bishop C. Griffin and Rebecca Sue Cummings Griffin. He worked as a Journeyman Meat Cutter for Piggly Wiggly and Lewis Jones Grocery Stores. Robert liked to play golf, pool in his spare time and loved to go to the beach. He was also a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Delorise Griffin of Columbus, GA, daughter, Carolyn Stillwell, sister, Becky Stanford (Scott) of Panama City Beach, FL, grandchildren, Ashton Bailey, Colton Stillwell, several nieces, nephews ,other family members and his puppy, Kacce.
