Robert Glenn Brown, 81, of Phenix City, AL died Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at The Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 15, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Eugene Boyette officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Benning Main Post Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Brown was born August 27, 1930 in Bay County, FL son of the late Benjamin W. and Edna Parker Brown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked several part time jobs. He was a member of CrossPointe Church of the Nazarene.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Vina Jean Holder Brown of Phenix City, AL, children, Robbie G. Brown (Cindy) of Vacaville, CA, Phillip C. Brown of Columbus, GA, Barry K. Brown (Suzie) of Ellerslie, GA, Roger J. James (Tracy) of Cartersville, GA, Bishop Calvin James of Phenix City, AL, Zachary Shane James (Phyllis) of Phenix City, AL and Tiffany D. James of Phenix City, AL, four sisters, Irene Wishon of Elizabethton, TN, Hazel Fox (Ralph) of Campbellton, FL, Jessie Russell (Pete) of Athens, AL and Virginia Ann Taylor (Barney) of Riverview, FL, brother, Bart McNeel (Diane) of Maine, nine grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to CrossPointe Church of the Nazarene 3574 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907.
