R.J. Franklin Key, 71, of Midland, GA died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA, 31907 with Dr. Tommy A. Henschel officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Key was born February 5, 1943 in Moreland, GA, son of the late James E. Key and Katie Smith Key. He retired from Columbus Body Works as an auto painter.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years, Sandra Sparks Key of Midland, GA; son, Frank Key, Jr. (Christina) of Salem, AL; daughter, Kimberly Key Nunley of Ellerslie, GA; two brothers; Charles Ronald Key (Barbara) and Kenneth Earl Key; one sister; Kathryn Teaster (Skip); five grandchildren, Nicole, Kendall, Mary, Brandon and Kyle.
Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church Building Fund, Highway 315, Ellerslie, GA. 31807.
