Rita Paulette Ragan Freeman, 63, of Columbus, GA died Monday, January 1, 2018 at Kindred Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Charles Hayes and Rev. Paul Thomas officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Freeman was born May 2, 1954 in Columbus, GA daughter of the late John E. and Julia Elizabeth Williamson Ragan. She attended Edgewood Assembly of God and Evangel Temple in Columbus and she retired from Sams Club.
She had a beautiful and sweet soul. Mrs. Freeman loved spending time with her family and friends, reading her Bible, playing chopsticks on the piano, and watching her favorite television programs, listening to gospel hymns. She was a former military wife who loved to travel. Rita also loved her Facebook game friends dearly.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Calhoun, and her sisters, Sharon Ragan Nowell and Phyllis Ragan.
Survivors include her children, Kelli LeAnn Davis (Jimmy Davis) and Christopher John Freeman all of Columbus, GA, siblings, Beverly Jones (Tony Jones), Diane King (Delance King) all of Columbus, GA, Vicki Massey (Gene Massey) of Cataula, GA and Philip Ragan of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, John Aiden Kirkland, Madison Cora Davis, Max William Davis, Ellie Elizabeth Davis, Easton Luke Davis and Anakin Davis all of Columbus, GA, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
