Ricky Cumbie, 64, of Fortson, GA died Monday, November 15, 2021 at his residence.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 19, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Shane Green officiating according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Ricky was born July 25, 1957 in Passaic, NJ to James “Jim” Earl Anderson Cumbie and Lois June Posthumus Cumbie. He graduated from Jordan High School in 1975 and became a self-employed carpenter. He loved wood working, cooking, history, and cars. He enjoyed camping and was a cigar connoisseur.
He is survived by his siblings Jimmy Cumbie (Anna) of Cataula, GA, Mark Cumbie (Lori) of Virginia Beach, VA, Sherri Cox (Steve) of Forston, GA, Tammy Brooks (AL) of Fortson, GA, nieces, Sarah Andras (Steven), Eculid, OH, Christina Karastury (Josh) of Franklin, GA, Jocelyn Cumbie of Auburn, AL, Danna Price (Gregg) of Newnan, GA, Jessica Cox of Columbus, OH, Tiffany Ayala of Columbus, GA, nephews, Tyler Bass (Sarah) of Columbus, GA, Al Brooks of Savannah, GA, Luke Cox (Sarah) of Columbus, OH, maternal grandparents, Etta and James Skelenger and paternal grandparents, Rosa and Horace Cumbie.
