Rickey Charles Barton, 71, of Cataula, Georgia died Thursday, December 2, 2021, at his residence.
The family has requested no memorial services at this time according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Rickey was born February 12, 1950, in Phenix City, AL son of the late James Marion Barton and Lucille Cook Land. He was a graduate of Jordan High School and retired after 40 years as a Project Manager with Ritch Electric Company, Columbus, GA. He was a Christian by faith and a member of Second Baptist Church in Columbus, GA.
Other than his parents, Rickey is preceded in death by his brother, Tim Barton.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Miles Barton of Cataula, GA, daughters, Shannon Cotton (Shannon), Brandi Barefield, of Cataula, GA, granddaughters, Kayla Ashton Cotton of Cataula, GA, Catherine Grace Barefield of Cataula, GA, grandsons, Tanner Bryce Cotton of Cataula, GA, Cason Allen Barefield of Cataula, GA, sister, Jeannie Hughes of Ellerslie, GA, brother, DuWayne Barton (Cheryl) of Cataula, GA.
