Richard Stryker, 68, of Midland, GA died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at his residence.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 2:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Father Tom Weise officiating. A private entombment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.
Mr. Stryker was born June 1, 1944 in Dover, N.J. son of the late Ben and Estelle Wrobleski Stryker. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a Maintenance Technician for Greystone Properties. He was a generous person who loved his children and adored his grandchildren. He had a passion for cooking, loved bowling and loved motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Judith Lovellette Stryker of Midland, GA, daughters, Tamara Stryker of Sharpsburg, GA and Michelle Wright (Dewayne Rhodes) of Waverly Hall, GA, brother, Jack Stryker (Pat) of Anaheim, CA, and three grandchildren, Briana Wright, Kayla Wright, and Ashlee Rhodes.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Vista Care 100 Brookstone Centre Parkway Columbus, GA 31904.
