Richard Steve "Rick" Newell, Sr. 60, of Fortson, Ga. died Monday, November 17, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 21, 2014 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel , 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Jeff Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Rick was born December 06, 1953 in Germany son of the late Thomas Leland Newell and Lucille Norris Rhodes. He retired after 30 years as a Field Engineer with Eastman Kodak.
Survivors include his wife, Debbra Sauls Newell of Fortson, Ga.; two sons, Richard S. Newell, Jr. of Columbus, Ga., and Joshua Cole of Phenix City, Al.; one daughter, Nalani Michelle Newell Walton (Reginald) of Columbus, Ga.; six grandchildren, Jarrod, Belinda, Caelan, Kylie, Madisyn, Anthony; and one great grandchild, Arabella.
