Richard E. Myers, 86, Lawton, OK, died peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his residence after a long and hard struggle.
Graveside Services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at Parkhill Cemetery with Chaplain Dan MacMinn officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-7:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Myers was born July 27, 1927 in Union Springs, AL son of the late Ben Myers and Vassie L. Clark. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy and was a loving father. Mr. Myers worked as a maintenance technician at Martin Theatres.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby S. Stokes Myers of Lawton, OK; daughters, Brenda Snider and Rosemary Wilson (Gary) both of Columbus, GA, and Jackie Myers (Larry)of Lawton, OK; sons, Ricky Thetford (Darlene) of Cataula, GA and Homer Myers of Milwaukee, WI; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 9 great great grandchildren.
