Richard Anthony Harbuck, 39, of Columbus, GA, died Monday, October 7, 2024, in Murphy, NC.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. A memorial service will follow at 6:30 PM Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Church on the Trail, 6200 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907, with Pastor Mark Swift officiating.

Richard was born April 11, 1985, in Ft. Benning, GA, the son of Nathan Mark Harbuck and Sherry Lynn Baucom Harbuck. Richard was a passionate and caring man who dedicated his life to God and serving others. He opened his doors to those in need and supported anyone who asked. Richard's hard work in building his own business not only elevated his life but also gave back to the community. He did not know the meaning of the word “stranger,” only that each person he came across was yet another friend to love and embrace. Richard’s light shined so bright that it brought joy to every corner of the earth; he touched so many hearts that there is no measurement. Richard's personality was as unique as his sense of style, one-of-a-kind, and adored by all. Richard loved to love all, his love and laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him, his spirt will continue to inspire us all, Richard’s life was a testament of the beauty of kindness, the strength of family, and the joy of living each day to the fullest.

Richard is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Caroline Baucom, and his paternal grandparents, Willie and Barbara Harbuck.

Survivors include his parents, Nathan Mark Harbuck and Sherry Baucom Harbuck of Phenix City, AL; his Fiancé’, Sherrie Crain; siblings, Jason Mediano (Alex) of EL Paso, TX, Kevin Harbuck of Columbus, GA; nieces and nephews, Kayden Harbuck, Nicholas Harbuck, Anthony Mediano, Matthew Mediano, Ashley Mediano, Dustin Brookins, Hannah Brookins, and his beloved dogs, Bella and Oreo, who was always by his side.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to McMullen Funeral Home located at 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, Ga 31907, on the day of his services, or you may contact his family at 915-887-1726. A monumental thank you for the overwhelming support from those who have reached out to share their condolences, given food, or donated money to help with the memorial service.
