Reul Michael Birchfield, 78, of Fortson, GA, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at his residence according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Birchfield was born August 2, 1939 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Thomas Luther Birchfield, Jr. and Madeline Price Brooks. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Marek Construction installing Sheet Rock. Mr. Birchfield enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Classic Country Music.
Survivors include his children, Tommy Birchfield (Deann), Debbie Worley (Robert), Lori Mieir (Ron), Sandy Poirouix (Danny), Betty Semon (Mike); long time companion, Patsey Moran and her children, Tracy Moran and Jimmy Moran; 3 siblings, Randy Brooks, K.C. Mathiesen, Sue Wagner, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
