Chris was born November 29, 1948 in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated in 1967 along with his high school sweetheart whom he married, Elizabeth A. Frankford-Gentry in the year 1969. They were married 45 years and with one son, Reuben Boone Gentry V, residing in Columbus, GA. Survived also are two amazing grandsons, Aaron B, 15 years and Kyle S, 11 years. He is also survived in his immediate family to include his mother, Harriet Gilbert Gentry; a sister, Cathy Gentry with two daughters, Melissa Carlson-Arreola and Jennifer Carlson-Gear and a brother, Michael D. Gentry and his wife, Grace Nakazawa-Gentry and son, Daniel Gentry.

Chris was a dedicated husband, father, and a retired Marine of 25 years. He was also a true "Hero", always putting others safety before his. Chris entered the Marine Corps as a Private in 1967 and after the rank of Gunnery SGT was selected Warrant Officer. After several years, he was then selected as a Second Lietinant thus retired with the respected rank of Captain in 1992.
Chris and Elizabeth moved to Columbus, GA to be close to their son and two grandsons in the year 2010. Chris retired from Anchorage Sand and Gravel as a Teamster, and Elizabeth retired from Alaska children's Services as a Case Manager III. Chris loved Alaska; the winters and the summers. He respected the Alaskan Wildlife and the Alaskan way of life that only Alaska has!

If you had met Chris, you, you would never have forgotten this man; he had striking white, bushy eyebrows ( a Gentry trait), and a big Cowboy, full moustache, along with a beautiful warm smile and a gift to talk and relate to anyone he had ever met. Chris was loved and well-liked by many.

Semper Fi Chris; with all our Love and Respect God bless and keep you in a Beautiful place without pain!!
