Ret. Ssg Harry Jacob Leazier, Jr.

Ret. SSG Harry Jacob Leazier, Jr., 68, of Columbus died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family.

Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 5, 2021 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory With Rev. Don Butler, Sr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 Friday, June 4, 2021 at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.  Jacob Pate, Jody Pate, Charles Lawhon, Bo Hunt, Austin Tarvin, Richie Grantham will serve as pallbearers.

Harry was born January 26, 1953 in Little Washington, PA to the late Harry Jacob Leazier and Margaret Bender Leazier. He retired from the Army after 17 years of service and retired from Arrow Exterminators after 30 years. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie Leazier, Ronnie Leazier and mother-in-law, Verna Lou Evans.

He is survived by his wife Linda G. Leazier of Columbus, GA, daughter Tracy Pate (Jody), of Columbus, GA, two special grandchildren, Jacob Austin Pate (Autumn Johnson) of Lizella, GA, Amanda Elizabeth Pate of Columbus, GA, brother Eddie Leazier of Arizona, sister-in-law, Francis Keller of Newport, TN, special niece, Lisa France of Columbus, GA, several other nieces and nephews.
