Ret. MSGT Billy Brook Otis, 76, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, March 4, 2021 at his son’s residence.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, March 28, 2021at River of Columbus Church 10516 Mehaffey Rd. Midland, GA 31820 with Pastor Mike Childs officiating, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Billy was born April 27, 1944 in Owingsville, KY to the late John Stanley Otis and Virgaline Hatton. Billy retired from the Army after 22 years as a Master Sergeant. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Presley Ginter, Jr.
Billy is survived by his children, David B. Otis Sr. (Penny), Allen Y. Otis, Barry W. Otis, grandchildren, Meghan M. Otis (Sergio), Melissa Michelle Rollins “Pookie”(Shayne), Faith K. Otis, Grace A. Otis, David B. Otis Jr. “DJ”, Danielle B. Otis “Dani”, great-grandchildren, Aden R. Otis, Peyton G. Foxworth, Adalyn R. Rollins, Greyson Kole Rollins, Anora A. Rolon, brother, Danny Ginter (Helen), nephews, Travis Ginter, Trevor Ginter, and Tyler Ginter.
