Retired Sgt. John Miller

Retired Sgt. John Miller, 58, of Columbus, died at his residence on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held 1:30 PM Friday, February 2, 2024 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Boulevard Columbus, GA 31907.
John was born on Thursday, March 18, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John Anthony Miller and Ann Marie Cowan. After graduation John joined the United States Army where he received an Army Commendation Medal, Expert infantryman's Badge, and Combat Infantryman's Badge. He retired after 21 dedicated years in the U.S. Army. He was also employed with Azalea Trace Nursing Home as their medical supply purchaser. He could be found outdoors or reading a nice book. He enjoyed sharing stories and reminiscing with his fellow Army comrades.
He survived by his wife of 33 years, Cynthia Miller of Columbus, GA; brothers, Timothy James Miller (Philadelphia, Pa), Dennis Miller (Deceased), Brian Miller (Philadelphia, Pa) and Michael Miller (Langhorne, Pa), sisters; Dawn Miller Santoro ((Audubon, NJ) and Marlita Tita (Philadelphia, Pa) and numerous special friends.
