Ret. SSG Alton C. Brundage Jr., 86, died April 18, 2020 at his residence in Columbus GA.
Due to the public health crisis a private service will be held for immediate family members only Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 3190 with Rev. Chuck Griffith officiating. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. A public Celebration of Life Service for family and friends will be held at a date to be determined after the Covid-19 pandemic has subsided.
Alton was born on April 11, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Alton C. Brundage Sr. and Anna Smith Brundage. He retired from the United States Army as a SSG serving 20 years. He also retired from Enterprise Rental Company working in the sale department.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Jeanette Brundage of Columbus, GA, sons, Alton C. Brundage III (Barbara) of Phenix City, AL., Jerry Steven Brundage (Norma) of Columbus, GA, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
