Ret. Captain Paul M. Beam, 72, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 21, 2011 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Minister David Spiece officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Columbus Church of Christ 5900 Coca Cola Blvd. Suite B Columbus, GA 31909.
Ret. Captain Beam was born November 10, 1939 in Delaware, OH son of the late Dallas Montney Beam and Katie Eleanor Hughes Beam. He was a retired U. S. Army Captain having served during the Vietnam War. He was the owner of Beam Salvage Co. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and Columbus Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Beam of Columbus, GA, daughters, Renee Beam of Auburn, AL and Paige Beam of Columbus, GA, granddaughter, Alita Grace Beam, siblings, Ruby (David) Heacock, Betty Thacker, Irene Brown and Red Beam, and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted, but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Brown Bag of Columbus 1342 17th St. Columbus, GA 31901.
