William "Bill" Adamson, 69, Columbus, GA, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Epworth United Methodist Church, 2400 Devonshire Drive Columbus, GA 31904 with Reverend Scott Hagan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Adamson was born February 9, 1945 in Atlanta, GA, son of the late Albert and Lois Pons Adamson. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He retired from the United States Coast Guard Reserve after 38 years. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. He retired after 21 years with the Columbus Consolidated Government as the Warden of Muscogee County Prison.
Survivors include his wife, Colette Ferguson Adamson of Columbus, GA; three sons, Joshua Hammett (Kristin) of Fayetteville, AR, Luke Adamson and Benjamin Adamson both of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Gerald Adamson(Jo Ann) and Daniel Adamson (Ginger) both of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Ava Louise Hammett and Braxton Dean Hammett both of Fayetteville, AR.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 2400 Devonshire Dr., Columbus, GA 31904.
