Renvia B. Strickland, 85, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, December 15, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Greg Garner officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Strickland was born July 6, 1931 in Leesburg, GA daughter of the late William Z. Youngblood and Willie Belle Ayers Youngblood. She was a homemaker and was a Baptist by faith. She loved bowling, VFW dances, and her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Strickland, Sr., brothers, John Youngblood and Thurman Youngblood, and sister, Mary Day.
Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Davis (Tommy) of Seale, AL, son, Larry Strickland (Barbara) and Charles L. Strickland, Jr. all of Columbus, GA, brother, Edward Youngblood (Annette) of Millbrook, AL, Wallace Youngblood(Linda) of Cedartown, GA and Henry Youngblood (Joanne) of Rockledge, FL, 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
