Renee Denise Walker Lyles, known affectionately as Renee to her friends and loved ones, transitioned peacefully on July 18, 2024, in Columbus, GA. Born on January 11, 1959, in Phenix City, AL, Renee was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.

Renee's early life was spent in the town of her birth, where she attended Central High School, Class of 1977. A bright and ambitious student, she carried her passion for learning and helping others into her adult life. Renee attended Columbus State University, where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Her dedication to children and education was a cornerstone of her character, informing much of her life's work.

For over 20 years, Renee served her community at Camellia TF Agency within The State of Alabama alongside Camellia’s Founding Father, Pastor Dr. Joseph Appiah. She held the esteemed position of Executive Administrator at CTFA, where her tireless commitment to those in need was evident to all. Renee’s dedication and commitment allowed CTFA to flourish into the network the it has grown to become this day. Renee's professional path also saw her bring beauty and joy into the lives of others as a Licensed Cosmetologist, a vocation she pursued with the same fervor and care as CTFA.

Renee's passions extended beyond her career. She enjoyed preparing special dishes and desserts for her family. She was an avid shopper with an eye for style, particularly when it came to designer purses and boots. Her sense of fashion was matched only by her steadfast faith. Renee was a life-time member of the Franchise Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama, under the Leadership of Rev. Dr. Raymond Cochran, Sr. where she attended services every Sunday without fail. Her devotion was further reflected in the time she spent watching pastoral videos by Rev. Frederick J. Eikerenkoetter II, Bishop Dale C. Bronner, her life-long friend, Dr. Boise Kimber, and Dr. Michael Murdock which brought her great comfort and inspiration.

Above all, Renee cherished the moments she spent with family and friends. She was a loving and kind presence in the lives of those she touched, always offering a word of support or a helping hand. Renee's faith-filled nature was a testament to her belief in the goodness of people and the grace of the divine. Her warm spirit and generous heart will be dearly missed.

As we say farewell to Renee, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and joy.
