Reida "Bean" Brasington-Griffin, 62, of Columbus, GA died Friday, May 5, 2023.
Memorial service will be held 3:00PM Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Travis Rigsby officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Reida was born in Columbus, GA on March 9, 1961 to Marvin and Shirley Brasington. Reida was a fun loving, caring, witty free spirit. She loved life and loved sharing it with those she held dear to her heart.You couldn’t know Reida without loving her, if you tried she would surely talk you out of it and we all know she could talk. Although she refused the term "Grandma" (for fear of being "old") her two granddaughters were her biggest joys. Our lives won’t quite be the same with her gone but we can remember her smile, her laughter and one of a kind personality, as we keep her with us in our hearts.
She is survived by two sons; Jared and Jacob Griffin, two beautiful granddaughters; Micaleigh Griffin (Jared) and Emma Jean Griffin (Jacob), sister, Debbie Peterson (Ron), brother, Keith Brasington (Joy), two nieces, Leah and Paige Brasington, and an endless number of cousins, family and beloved friends.
