Rebecca Joyce (Lee) Renfroe

Rebecca Joyce (Lee) Renfroe, 68, of Smith’s Station, Alabama passed at home in her sleep with her faithful dog, Tipper by her side on June 30, 2023.

Rebecca was born on February 27, 1955 to Isom and Grace Lee in Midland, Georgia.  She graduated from Phillips Community College in Columbus, Georgia with a degree in Business. She spent the majority of her career with CB & T Bank, now Synovus, working her way up from a mailroom worker to a position in Bank Card Services.

Rebecca first met Randolph “Randy” Renfroe, Sr. in 1984. Their friendship blossomed into love and they were married until his passing in 2003. Together they remained committed to their blended family and their passion for animals and nature. Rebecca was known for her love of animals, adopting strays and donating to various animal charities throughout her lifetime.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Isom and Grace Lee, husband, Randy Renfroe, Sr., and siblings, Isom “Jack” Lee, Jr., Anne Lee, William Lee, Elizabeth Rainey, Vivin Anderson, and Linda Strickland. She is survived by her only son, David Johnson and his wife, LaDawn and their two sons, Marcos and Lucas, sister Shirley Marshall and nephew, Ray Taylor.

In keeping with her wishes, a private memorial ceremony will be held in Yosemite National Park Valley Chapel, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any animal rescue charity in her name.
