Rebecca Renee' Odom George, 61 of Columbus died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at her home.
The family will be holding a private memorial service according to Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Renee' was born March 13, 1950 in Columbus, GA daughter of Hazel Lindsey Odom and the late Perry L. Odom. She was an instructor for the State of Alabama and had also worked for the Ledger Enquirer. She was an avid reader and loved her family.
Survivors include her mother, Hazel L. Odom of Phenix City, AL; daughters, Tamatha Shumate (Lewis) and Teresa Owenby (Tim) all of Phenix City, AL; son, Russell Dwayne Richards, Jr. (Nita) of Robinson, TX; brothers, Rodney Odom (Jane) of Richland, GA and Robert Odom of Phenix City, AL; sister, Ronda Broadwater (Doug) of Phenix City, AL; ten grandchildren, Brandi, Amanda, Candice, Timmy, Traci, Dustin, Teresa, Hunter, Trey and Mikey; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
