Ramona Veasey Gibson, 83, of Columbus, GA died Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Brad Melton and Reverend David Smith officiating. There will be a private interment in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Gibson was born October 10, 1928 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of the late Barney Veasey and Eva Herring Veasey. She retired as a clerk with Wade's Laundry and was a member of Living Way Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl K. Gibson.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam Gibson Ray (Ronnie) of Valley, AL; son, Kerry Gibson (Kathy) of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Heather Hatcher (David) of Augusta, GA, Ryan Wade of Manchester, GA and Rothwell Wade (Elizabeth) of Dothan, AL; great grandchildren, Caleb Hatcher and Hadley Hatcher; sisters, Dorothy Hart of Opelika, AL and Eva Blanche Hinkle of Phenix City, AL and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Columbus Hospice House, 7020 Moon Road, Columbus, GA 31909.
