Ramon M. Sabordo, Jr.

Ramon Malaybalay Sabordo, Jr. 77, of Columbus, GA passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Paul officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery.

Ramon was born July 13 in the Philippines in 1944 and came to the United States in 1952. He was a graduate of DeRidder Louisiana High School and Columbus Tech. Ramon served in the US Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Kmart with 39 years of service. He enjoyed pier fishing at Panama City Beach, FL, shag dancing with his wife Rita and bowling with his bowling league friends. Ramon is preceded in death by his parents Ramon P. Sabordo and Eufemia Malaybalay Sabordo, brothers, Worley, Reymundo, George and Roger Sabordo and sister, Florentina Busch.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years Rita Goynes Sabordo, sisters, Donna Foster, Nancy Harris, Shirley Woodham, Rosalie Ziccarello, Rosanna Melvin, Debbie Davis, Rebecca Jolliff, brother, Rick Sabordo, many nieces and nephews.
