Rachel Eulale Watson, 80, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Don Wilhite officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watson was born August 13, 1938 in Little Rock, AR daughter of the late Bartow Scroggins and Earline Carey Forsyth. She worked as a winder tender for Swift Mills and was a past president and member of Eastern Star Chapter #261. Mrs. Watson was very active in the Columbus/Ft. Benning Shrine Club and Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was very compassionate and giving.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur David Watson.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Watson (Elisabeth) of Columbus, GA and Larry Watson (Carlene) of Phenix City, AL, sister, Jane Coredeiro of Mesa, AZ, grandchildren, Timothy and Terry Watson, 2 great-grandchildren, Gabriel Watson and Synthia Watson, 2 step-grandchildren, Kevin Guthrie and Keith Guthrie, and 1 step-great grandchild, Kenneth Bacon.
