Polly J. Ozley, 92, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, October 19, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Parr officiating. The following will serve as Pallbearers; Len Jones, Jason Stanford, Jeffrey Stanford, James Ozley, Guy Ehouse and Kyle Kelch. A private interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Ozley was born December 21, 1922, in Siluria, AL, the daughter of the late Foy Jones and Madge Armstrong Jones. She was a long time member of Wynnton Methodist Church, Columbus, Georgia. She loved sewing, fishing, cooking, her flowering and gardening, and taking care of her family.
Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard S. Ozley, daughter, Linda O. Stanford, granddaughter, April Stanford, brothers, Charles Jones, Ralph Jones and sister, Mildred Simons.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia O. Jones (Bob), of Columbus, GA, son, James F. Ozley, of Phenix City, AL, granddaughter Allison J. Ehouse (Guy), of Columbus, GA, grandsons, Len Jones (Heather) of Williamsburg, VA, Jason Stanford of Montgomery, AL, Jeffrey Stanford of Montgomery, AL and James Robert Ozley (Melissa) of Salem, Alabama, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Wynnton United Methodist Church 2412 Wynnton Rd. Columbus, GA 31906 or to your favorite charity.
