Philip Micheal Matteo

Philip Michael Matteo, 72, of Columbus, GA passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 7, 2023 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Philip was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 6, 1950 to the late Ralph and Angelina Matteo. He served his country honorable for twenty years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Throughout his military career he received numerous awards and decorations. Following retirement from the military Philip joined the Columbus Police department, retiring from in 2007. Philip loved his community, country and most of all his family.

Philip is survived by his loving wife, Mi Ok Matteo; two children, Angela Matteo and Raymond Matteo
