Peter Fredrick Rumph

Peter Fredrick Rumph , 78, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday April 17, 2020 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown Campus in Columbus, GA.
There will be no funeral services at this difficult time. A private family memorial service will possibly be announced at a later date.
Peter was born on April 9, 1942 to the late James Nathaniel Rumph and the late Ludie Emma Putnam Rumph. He worked at Fieldcrest/Cannon/Pillowtex Mill for many years - from the age of 17 until the mill closed. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading his Bible, playing with his little dog, watching movies, playing video games and working in his yard.
Other than his parents and his brothers, James Bradford Rumph and Cary Frank Rumph, Peter was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years Eva Mae Champion Rumph and his youngest daughter Deborah Joyce "Joy" Rumph Harris. Peter is survived by his daughter Wendy Maldonado and husband Rick of Phenix City, AL; granddaughter Niki Coleman of Phenix City, AL; grandsons Zack Coleman and Jonathan Maldonado both of Phenix City, AL; granddaughter Jennifer Dickinson and husband Ian of Tacoma, WA; siblings thru marriage; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
