Peggy Thelma Myrtle B. Strickland, 88 of Columbus, Georgia passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, February 19, 2021 at Beallwood Baptist Church 4650 Veterans Parkway Columbus, Georgia 31904 with Rev. Billy Duncan officiating. A private interment will be held in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Friday at the church. Mrs. Strickland was born April 10, 1932 in Hamilton, Georgia daughter of the late Walter Scott and Myrtle Carroll Story. Mrs. Strickland loved the Lord and her extended church family at Beallwood Baptist Church. She was active teaching in her churches over the years to include Bellview, Pinehurst and Beallwood.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Strickland was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Strickland, her first husband Thomas Smith and her siblings, Herbert W. Story, Walter S. Story, Carl M. Story and Mary Story Smith.
Survivors include her loving daughter Angela Strickland Mills and her husband Jeff of Foley, AL. and her granddaughter Merrideth Orsini of Florence Kentucky
