Peggy Dixon Wright, 79, of Cusseta, GA died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Marvin Minton officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, September 14, 2015 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Wright was born June 2, 1936 in Warrenton, NC, daughter of the late James Byron Dixon and Lucy House Dixon. She retired after 36 years as a secretary at Chattahoochee County Board of Education. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cusseta, GA.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, J. B. Dixon.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Charles Richard Wright, Sr., of Cusseta, GA; daughter, Theresa Dunnivan; sons, Charles Richard Wright, Jr. (Julie) and Randall Dixon Wright; sister, Betty Harris (Ed); grandchildren, Dwayne Dunnivan (Jennifer), Jeremy Dunnivan, Emily Dunnivan, Briana McNeil (Andrew) and Kayla Wright; and three great grandchildren.
