Peggy Joyce West

Peggy Joyce West, 79 of Columbus, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Columbus Hospice Midtown Medical West. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 12, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the funeral home, according to McMullen Funeral Home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. West was born October 14, 1935, daughter of the late Thomas Butler and Epsie Clemmons Stonell. She was a member of North Highland Church, New Horizons Sunday school class, and GG's Women's Ministry. Mrs. West was also an active member of the United Daughters of the Confederate, the Assistant Pole Manager for St. Andrews precinct, as well as serving as the treasurer for the Genealogy Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra East (George) of Midland, GA; granddaughter, Allison Seward (Fiance', Hunter Crumley) of Midland, GA; two sisters, Betty Richardson of Columbus, GA, and Brenda Olsen (Gary) of Virginia Beach, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thank you to all of the family members and friends who helped them during their time of need.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to North Highland Church, 7300 Whittlesy Blvd.
