Peggy Ann Slay

Peggy Ann Slay, 80 of Columbus died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Howle officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Slay was born January 29, 1932 in Columbus, Georgia daughter of the late Earl Moody Underwood and Lily Inez Maxey Underwood.
She retired after 20 years from Hartford Ins. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church and was a Pink Lady at St. Francis Hospital.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Slay and sister, Evelyn U. Powers.
Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline A. Slay of Danville, KY and Nancy Slay Reeder of Columbus, GA; grandsons, Sgt. Christopher M. Reeder USM and wife Terri M. Reeder currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Adam C. Reeder of Phenix City, AL and several nieces and nephews.
