Peggy Irene (Nelson) Mcelreath

Peggy McElreath, 79, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Haynes Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:00 AM at the cemetery according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31097.
Peggy was born October 17, 1941, in Covington County, AL. She worked for the Muscogee County School District as a secretary and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Sherwood United Methodist Church and Living Grace United Methodist Church and worked on various church committees. She is preceded in death by her parents Evelyn Adams Blankenhorn and Rev. Warren Blankenhorn.
She is survived by her husband, Mark McElreath, children, Valerie McElreath, Fletcher McElreath and Henry McElreath, sister, Lynn Maughon, grandchildren Trenton McElreath and Sabrina Stomp, and great-grandchild, Sailor McElreath.
